Vaccinations (including travel)
All vaccinations previously provided by GP Practices has moved to the responsibility of NHS Lanarkshire.
Anyone wishing to book vaccinations for travel should be directed to the Fit for Travel website www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk.
All other vaccinations are the responsibility of NHS managed services.
NHS Lanarkshire's Vaccination Service will deliver pneumococcal and shingles vaccines through vaccination centres and processes are in place to enable scheduling based on GP records.
We are aware that there are a number of other miscellaneous vaccinations, mostly coming from secondary care - e.g. patients with a need further vaccination after a bone marrow transplant. These will also be delivered by NHS Lanarkshire's Vaccination Service.
The table below details the new arrangements for vaccine delivery.
